Erasmus..

Erasmus - the unforgettable adventure, once-in-a-life-time opportunity too make new friends, experience something extraordinary... Etc., etc. ...
I haven't went to Rennes yet but I'm not looking forward to it because Erasmus paperwork turned my life into madness. Last week I finally filled in all the application forms and it was extremely stressful because of the deadlines, but then I found out that this is only he beginning of my Erasmus-story. A few days ago, before the weekend, my friend Marta handed me in a file of papers while we were leaving the lecture hall. "Here, all are signed.." she said. She managed to collect all these signs for me while I was struggling with tricky tasks at work. She always gives me a hand, I do can rely on her.. Anyway, I thanked her, I placed the papers in a folder in my bag and dashed for a train. I was going to my friend's grandmother who lives in Koszalin. The one-day trip was great. I finally spent some time with my dearest friend and I also got some rest. When I was going back home I have organized a stack of papers. My bag had been stuffed with them for many, many weeks and I decided I need to do away with all this waste paper. I arrived at home a few hours ago. I ate my supper. I walked my dog. And then I started to prepare my bag for tomorrow's lectures. I wanted to send some documents tomorrow. But I appeared that two of them were missing - the two Marta gave me. I quickly realized what had happened. I throw them away. Out of the train.

I had a dream. I was in Narnia. But THIS Narnia was not narnian at all. I was all alone in the woods. There were no talking beasts or fauns... Anybody. Even the dryads had abandoned their trees. I was walking for hours and I was so exhausted.. I was mumbling "If only I had The Queen Susan's Horn".. But then I reached the edge of the forest and I faced a wooden signpost with a name of "the Echo Canyon Park" painted on it. I felt sick. I recognized it. It was made of maple wood.. But it was.. it was.. the Maple Dryad Tree. I though about that graceful creature who just had been slain. "Monsters!" I thought. Only savage monsters could chop down a Dryad Tree. Suddenly a shudder of terror ran through me. I was almost sure that they was beasts from "Doctor Who" - the Weeping Angels.. But the truth was a lot, A LOT more terrifying. They were the Seven Dwarfs, the drudges of the Snow White..

And then I woke up.

I wish I had dreamed about Prince Caspian by my side, fighting with the Dwarfs..

"Sorry, I did a shot before.."

A few months ago I was obsessed by Suzanne Collins' Hunger Games. I really like this kind of literature - dystopian literature and so, I really enjoyed it. After the book, there was the movie of course and that's how I met Jennifer Lawrence. I really liked her and I started to watch her films (Winter's boneThe burning plain) and she became one of my favorite actresses. I think she's really talented and I am not the only person who thinks so - a few days ago Jennifer Lawrence was awarded the 2013 Oscar for Best Actress for her role in Silver Linings PlaybookAnd the Oscar, though it's the most prestigious award, it is not the only statue she keeps on her mantelpiece. This year was special for Jennifer but the fame hasn't gone to her head. She is not like one of these conceited celebrities and that's why I like her so much. I think that the best example would be her Oscar's backstage speech. She was really agitated - well.. Oscar had to be a thrilling experience, but she remained herself. During the ceremony she had dropped a few bricks but afterwards she just laughed at herself and that was great.

Anyway.. everyone says she was hilarious. And that's true - people were laughing mostly all the time since her first words: while she was being instructed into the interview rules she asked "This isn't like an auction, right? You guys aren't going to take it away?". But I must say that I find the questions she was asked rather silly.. Maybe not the first (concerning the hard subject of the film) but the next? "You look great today.. What was the process of getting ready? How many people helped you?" Gosh..
Jennifer answered that she had just woken up then she had tried on the dress.., that she had taken a shower (outburst of laughter) and then she had come to the Oscars. Her last word, said in tongue-in-cheek tone made her a little confused. She started to giggle what was of course even funnier. She explained that it was the shot she had done before the speech. Next question was about the fall of course. "What happened?" said the journalist. Jennifer looked at her in astonishment and asked her what she meant what happened. "Look at my dress!" she cried and she added that she had been trying to walk up stairs in that dress and that was what had happened. And as we're talking about her fall I must mention my favorite moment - one foreign journalist asked her what has been going through her mind when she fell down. Jennifer answered honestly that it had been a bad word, that she couldn't say and that started with 'F'. Let me guess.. well... No idea ;p Next question concerned her career (so many awards, Oscar at the age of 22 etc.); the man asked her if she felt that it's a good thing that it's coming so early in her career. Jennifer's reaction in my opinion proved her modesty - she stumbled. She looked quite confused. "I hope so... Yeah. I mean.., I.. who knows. I guess we'll see." Then she was asked if she was worried about her peaking too soon. Jennifer just cried "Now I am!!". People were laughing and so she accused the moderator of picking people to make fun of her. In her last responses she parodied other actors greeting each other but she also confessed that the ceremony had been a lot less awkward because she had been trough it before. Last question ("Thank God!" Lawrence said in relief) was about this can of worms, Seth's performance hosting. Jennifer replied she had loved that (and the boob song too!). In her opinion he was hilarious.

I watched some other backstage interviews and I must say that this one is incredible. But actually I think that everything Jennifer Lawrence does is great so perhaps I'm not so objective. Well then, check out the link! ;)
